Location
The Mountain can be found east of the Forest and west of the Lab.
What Creatures can access this area?
Currently, only otters have access to this area. In the future, more creatures may be released that are masters in this task.
What can I gather from here?
The beginner area (Mountain), allows for players to gather pebbles. These are the game's beginner resources also known as Tier 1 (T1) resources.
What uses are there for pebbles?
As of now, pebbles are planned for materials used to make and upgrade buildings. (Buildings will be a released in a future update).
How do I gather pebbles?
Once you access the Mountain, you will be able to assign your otters to a stone to start harvesting.
There are so many stones! Which ones can be harvested?
Project dignity prides itself on preserving nature and promoting sustainability. Your otters may only mine stones in certain areas in order to prevent strip mining as well as erosion/pollution of the surrounding area!
With that said you can send your otters to the stones that have been marked for your gathering needs!
I now know what stones I can mine; What's next?
Once you have selected and clicked on a stone, a menu will open showing all the features for those creatures.
The Work Menu:
In this menu, you will be able to either send your creature off to a task, claim their hard earned resources, or be able to feed them to ease their fatigue.
Sending an animal off to work:
Select a creature from the available creatures and that you want to send off. Once you have decided which creature you want to send off, press 'Gather'.
Various Tasks designed for your schedule!
We all understand people have a busy schedule and while something works for one person it doesn't work for others. In Arcadian Reclaim, there are three tasks to choose from that should offer you a range of flexibility. These are Rapid/Steady/Extensive.
Expeditious
This task is limited to newer creatures (otters and seals not included). This task is focused on quick and efficient gathering specialized to a given resource based on the creature used to gather. This task ranges from 1 to 4 hours.
Rapid Harvest
This is the quickest task for dedicated gathers. The task ranges from 2 to 4 hours.
Steady Harvest
A moderate task for those with other endeavors to focus on. This task ranges from 5 to 9 hours.
Extensive Harvest
A time intensive task for those that don't have time to keep checking back. The task ranges from 10 to 16 hours.
Overnight
A task that will take your creatures well into the night. Pushing them to the limit is bound to have some repercussions. This task ranges from 16 to 24 hours.
Be careful though! You cannot choose the exact time a creature works for, so plan accordingly!
Why would I ever choose rapid or steady when extensive means less work?
Each task has a modifier associated to them. Here is the breakdown for bonus materials.
Expeditious | + 60% Resources
Rapid Harvest | +35% Resources
Steady Harvest | +10% Resources
Extensive Harvest | +5% Resources
Overnight | +0% resources
If you want to only send your creatures off once or twice a day extensive/overnight is right for you. However, you will earn less resources than someone who focuses on steady or rapid/expeditious.
Task confirmation:
Once you have chosen a task, you will have one last window to open that will show how much your creature can earn in this task, the time frame the task may assign, and one final confirmation to lock in your selection.

Your creature is now working! Now what?
You will need to wait for the creature to finish their task. As of now, you can go about your day or other activities while they are harvesting resources. Once done, check back in and press 'Claim'
Successfully Claimed:
If the claim button is not greyed out, your creature is ready to claim their hard work and resources for you! Here you will see a success message as well as the amount of resources gathered!
But wait? What is this exhaustion rate?
Each creature gets tired as they work. This is represented by a mechanic called exhaustion. Exhaustion is determined by a few factors. Once being which task you send your creature on and the other is how many tasks they do.
Rapid Harvest | +5% per completed task
Steady Harvest | +10% per completed task
Expeditious | +15% per completed task
Extensive Harvest | + 45% per completed task
Overnight | +100% (Guaranteed Exhaustion!)
Be careful though! The more tasks you do the more tired a creature gets. If you do a bunch of tasks in a row; you will see these rates start scaling based on the number of task you do!
How is Exhaustion Calculated?
How exhaustion is calculated is based on current exhaustion rate. If you send a creature with 5% exhaustion rate, then there is a 5% chance they will be exhausted after completing the task.
If your creature is not exhausted, then their current exhaustion is now increased by the type of task completed + number of tasks completed.
Example: You send your creature with 10% current exhaustion rate and 3 completed tasks to a Rapid Task . There will be a 10% chance they will return exhausted. If they are not exhausted then their current exhaustion rate is now (10% + (4 x 5%)) = 30% new current exhaustion rate [New exhaustion rate = Current exhaustion rate + (tasks completed x Task Modifier)].
What happens if my creature gets exhausted?
Once your creature is exhausted, your creature will need to rest! They will be unavailable to work for a period of time based on the number of times they get exhausted.
Exhausted Triggered Once | 6 hour resting period
Exhausted Triggered Twice | 12 hour resting period
Exhausted Triggered Three Times | 24 hour resting period
Exhausted Triggered Four Times | 48 hour resting period
When your creature finishes resting, they will return with 0% exhaustion rate! Once your creature is exhausted 4 times; they will be rejuvenated and the cycle starts over again!
How can I slowdown or prevent my creatures getting exhausted?
There is no definitive way to work your creatures indefinitely. However, you can feed them to help reduce their exhaustion rate and allow them to work a bit longer!
Your creatures are living beings. They get tired and hungry just like any other living being. So feeding them is the best way to provide them with extra energy before they need rest!
As of now, you can feed your creatures using fish. There may be more food introduced or creatures that use things other than food, for now lets just focus on fish.
Feeding your creature:
When you select a node to gather from, you will see a tab called 'Feed'.
Here you can select the creature you want to feed as well as the different foods you have available.(Again, you can only use fish right now).
One Fish removes 15% Exhaustion rate!
Once you have determined which creature you want to feed. Press the 'feed 1 fish' button and you will see the following message. You can only feed fishes until the base exhaustion rate is reached (5%). This means that you can not go lower than a 5% exhaustion rate!
Closing Remarks
If you made it this far, then congratulations! You should now know all the current mechanics to send your creature out to gather resources, how to feed your creature, and the risks and the rewards that come with working for these materials!
